Multiple Value Field Options

This Multiple Value Field Options property box determines how the Copy Metadata activity copies field values. This setting will only apply if the entry you are copying metadata to meets both of the following requirements.

• The entry already contains field values.
• One of its fields accepts multiple values.

If both requirements are not satisfied, new field data will always replace existing data.

To configure Multiple Value Field Options

1. Add the Copy Metadata activity to your workflow definition by dragging it from the Toolbox Pane and dropping it in the Designer Pane.
2. Select the activity in the Designer Pane.
3. Under Multiple Value Field Options in the Properties Pane, specify the method for assigning the copied metadata.
   
   
   • Add to existing metadata: Copied metadata will be added to the entry.
   • Replace existing metadata: Copied metadata will replace the metadata currently assigned to the entry.
